Q. What's the cost of a class?
A. Our studio runs entirely on donations, and we suggest a $15 donation per class. We appreciate you giving what you are able to and are so grateful for your generosity as your donations are integral to the health and sustainment of Yoga Sol!
Q. How do I donate for class?
A. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards. Place cash and checks (made out to “Yoga Sol”) in the wooden donation box at the front desk. Use the iPad to pay by credit card via Square.
Q. HOW IS MY DONATION USED?
A. Put simply, your donations help keep our doors open to continue to serve you. We use donations to compensate our wonderful teachers (each teacher is compensated by the donations contributed to his/her class), to pay rent and utilities, to buy supplies such as mats and water, as well as re-invest back in the studio to provide you with the best yoga experience possible. Your donations go towards a lot of things at Yoga Sol, but primarily they help us continue to serve you!
Q. Where is the studio located and where can I park?
A. Yoga Sol’s address is 21 5th Street NE Minneapolis, MN 55413. We are located by Red Stag, Gardens of Salonica and Wells Fargo. Parking options: Free street parking on 5th Street on the other side of 1st Avenue. Metered parking on 5th Street in front of the studio and on 1st. Avenue. There is free parking in the Wells Fargo lot after business hours.
Q. I'VE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE. WHAT CLASS SHOULD I TAKE?
A. Welcome! So glad to have you join us. A great place to start is with Yoga 101 or Yoga Sculpt 101. Those two classes serve to teach the foundation, proper alignment, and poses you’ll find in most of our yoga classes. They’re also a great introduction to the vocabulary used in a yoga class and gently introduce you to our studio. Ultimately, all of our classes can be modified for all levels, and we’d love for you to try out all 11 yoga and yoga-inspired fitness formats we have to offer. Click here for full descriptions of each format.
Q. What should I bring to class?
A. Bring a yoga mat or you may rent one of our mats for a suggested donation of $2 if you don’t have your own. We also recommend a water bottle and a small towel (to wipe off any sweat).
Q. Is your studio heated?
A. We keep our temperature around a comfortable 75 degrees. We do not have a “hot” yoga class nor do we intentionally add humidity. Depending on the season, the exact temperature of the studio varies.
Q. Is there a place to change clothes? Do you have locker rooms?
A. We have a unisex restroom where you can change. We also have cubbies to store your shoes and small items.
