Talent Manager, PT 10-15 hours/week

MONETARY COMPENSATION: 30% of profit share

The Talent Manager embodies the word leadership and is an ambassador of the Yoga Sol mission of yoga for all, inside and out of the studio. As the Talent Manager, you are responsible for nurturing and growing the Yoga Sol culture by leading our teaching and karma yogi staff. The Talent Manager is responsible for the acquisition and retention of strong and diverse talent and is the point of contact for all staff. The Talent Manager is ultimately responsible for all classes, workshops, and cleaning shifts on the schedule at Yoga Sol happening each day. The mark of a successful Talent Manager is a staff with low turnover, has a deep investment in the studio and is committed to overall studio growth.
As the Talent Manager, you respond promptly to all staff-related communications. You are a team player, and sometimes step in last minute to sub for a colleague. You are a direct communicator, and can calmly, yet firmly reinforce studio policies with staff. You’re professional, inspire the team with your strong teachings, and share your expanding knowledge of yoga when mentoring staff.
Certified yoga instructor with CPR / first aid certifications
Excellent communication skills

Proven leadership experience
Field and coordinate all aspects relating to staffing needs, recruitment, applications, hiring, onboarding, and coaching.
Maintain up-to-date files for staff.
Keeps ‘Teacher’ and ‘Karma Yogi’ CRM up to date.
Send “Welcome” email, including teaching agreement, studio operations manual, policies and information, to all new staff.
Facilitates official onboarding and studio training by a senior staff member.
Add new staff to appropriate listservs.
Ensure “Our Staff” page on website is up to date with accurate information.
Gives Marketing/Promo pack to all staff.
Coaching & Mentoring:
Ensures all staff are trained and comfortable speaking to suggested donation / mission.
Facilitate 6-week check-ins with all new staff.
Lead Bi-Annual Teacher Check-In efforts.
Schedule and lead all-staff meetings to present studio updates, review teaching techniques, and check in on team progress -- tying efforts back to studio strategy and annual goals.
Responsible for all studio programming (classes, workshops, series, KY shifts, etc.)
Collect teacher availability and update schedule as needed.
Collect teacher availability over specific holidays where schedule is abbreviated.
Manage sub requests -- is ultimately responsible for all classes on the schedule. ie: last minute subbing as needed.
Manage and grow the sub list.
Track and enforce late/no-show policy.
Attend scheduled manager meetings.
Send weekly email to staff with studio updates, events, requests, and schedule.
Manage community email inbox.
Execute year end teacher survey, giving teachers an opportunity to voice feedback.
Represent Yoga Sol at functions/health fairs/festivals/conferences in the community.
